2025 John Deere Commodity Classic Releases

Autonomous Tillage

John Deere will be coming to the market with Autonomy Precision Upgrade kits for MY22+ 9R/RX tractors. This functionality will work with certain models of tillage tools off the start and expand out in the future. It has not been announced when this precision upgrade will be released in Canada yet.

Here is a video with more info:

HSD High Speed Disks

John Deere has announced a new model of high speed disk replacing the 3-section 2680H.

The main differences from the 2680H are that it features a greater distance between disks and finishing rollers for better residue flow, and provides a heavier duty frame w/ 3 year warranty, and bolted pivot bushings.

Here’s a video for the release:

Sprayer AutoTrac Turn Automation (ATTA)

In summer 2025, we will be able to utilize ATTA for 400R & 600R sprayers equipped with Gen4 Automation 4.0 activations, or G5 Advanced licenses. This feature will allow you to set up automatic turns throughout the field in your sprayer, similar to the capabilities already available in tractors and combines.

It is strongly recommended that you have SF3 or SF-RTK driven boundaries for using AutoTrac Turn Automation.

Here is a video walkthrough on setting up ATTA in tractors:

See & Spray Select Precision Upgrade

John Deere will be providing the option to add See & Spray Select to your existing machine as a Precision Upgrade for 2026. See & Spray Select uses cameras and processors in fallow ground to detect weeds and activate only the necessary nozzles to achieve a comparable coverage rate to traditional broadcast spraying without as much chemical usage and fewer refills.

New for 2026 is the Variable Rate feature for See & Spray Select. With an annual license, this allows See & Spray machines to apply chemical as a varying percentage based on green biomass detected by the cameras. The system does not depend on crop type and will allow for use in desiccation applications.

ExactApply Variable Rate & PWM Auto Nozzle Switching

ExactApply Variable Rate, new for 2025, allows for application of different rates across the boom based on a prescription. This feature will apply to MY22 and newer machines with a software update.

Another ExactApply update for this year is pulsing during A+B switching, a feature that previously only applied to conventional spray modes. This feature will apply to all ExactApply machines with a software update.

MY26 Combine Updates

For MY26 X9s and S7s, Predictive Ground Speed Automation (PGSA) will detect weed patches and adjust ground speed to minimize slugging or reel/rotor wrapping. Harvest Settings Automation (HSA) will adjust settings when entering a previously combined area to reduce grain loss during transitions.

MY26 Combines will also have a new, larger instructional seat that automatically flips up.

Other Harvest Releases

Grain Harvest Weight Sharing (available now) offers realtime visibility into grain cart weights through Ops Center and displays. This solution requires a Bluetooth/wifi scale system, harnesses, and specific licenses/activations. Here is a video about Grain Harvest Weight Sharing:

Grain Constituent Sensing with a HarvestLab 3000 is now available for X9s. This provides accurate moisture, protein, starch, and oil content data in real time, and tracks this info using a map layer.

Auto Unload, to be released in 2026, takes Machine Sync to the next level. Using a camera mounted on the auger to sense grain fill levels, it automatically adjust cart position relative to the combine to evenly fill the cart.

Combine AutoTrac Turn Automation will add automatic header raise and lower capabilities in 2026.
