It was 50 years ago in 1970 that the JD24 Skid Steer Loader was officially introduced. At the time of its launch, this skid steer featured four wheel drive, 37 HP, a multidisc transmission clutch on each wheel and a machine frame that could rotate 360 degrees - meaning small spaces and maneuverability were never a problem. This product gave customers the flexibility and capability to get more work done in a variety of landscape and construction operations
The anniversary marks half a century of innovation and collaboration between John Deere and our customers, said Gregg Zupancic, product marketing manager, John Deere Construction & Forestry. We're excited to hit this milestone and showcase the model amongst numerous technological advances at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2020. After all, our skid steer lineup wouldn't be what it is today without the customers and engineers who brought this machine to life 50 years ago.
To celebrate 50 years - John Deere is commemorating the anniversary by displaying a restored version at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2020 in Las Vegas, Nevada. In addition, any skid steers purchased between March 1 and December 31, 2020 will receive a special commemorative decal on their machine from John Deere.
The JD24 display can be seen at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2020 between March 10 and 14 at Booth N12525.
