- Inspect and clean the tank pressure hoses.
- Remove and take apart the meter roll. Clean all segments with soap and water. Carefully dry with compressed air. Inspect for any damage from the season. When re-assembling spray fluid film on and between all components.
- Remove the meter drive chain, inspect and lubricate.
- Inspect the meter drive housing. follow the same cleaning instructions as you did for the meter roll.
- Check the half-width disconnect, and agitator shaft. Lubricate after inspecting.
- Remove pressure hoses and blow out housings.
- Inspect the primary air tubes running underneath the cart for wear.
- Check for free movement of the single/double shoot slide within the manifold. Spray down with fluid film while working back and forth to coat completely.
- Remove and inspect the insert blanks and return to the normal position.
- Check the gear case for proper movement. Adjust if necessary and apply a coating of grease to the threads.
- Check oil level in the gear case.
- Inspect the entire length of wiring harness to ensure it is tied away from pinch points and is in good condition.
- Lubricate all grease zerks.
- Inspect and lubricate the primary drive chain at the rear of the machine.
- Run the auger/conveyor, checking for condition and alignment.
- Torque all wheel bolts and check wheel bearings for any looseness.
- Check operation of all lights.

By taking a little extra time to go through the air drill and cart before putting it away will save you time next Spring when another growing season is upon us.
And once it is parked in the shed, you can sit back and relax for a few days and watch your crops pop up in rows!
